French Onion Burgers
Ingredients
Caramelized Onions
2 large sweet onions, thinly sliced1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp granulated sugar
Salt and black pepper
1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
Stock (optional)
Garlic & Onion Burgers
16 oz beef2 cloves garlic, finely minced
2 tbsp dried onion flakes
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Salt and black pepper
Assembly
4 oz Gruyère, shredded4 brioche burger buns
Fresh thyme
Mayonnaise
Leafy green lettuce

Instructions
Caramelize the Onions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add sliced onions, sugar, salt, and pepper. Cook for about 30 minutes until golden brown.
- Stir in balsamic vinegar and cook for another 5 minutes. Remove from heat.
Prepare the Burgers
- In a bowl, mix beef with minced garlic, onion flakes, onion powder, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
- Divide into 4 portions and form into patties.
- Cook patties in a skillet over medium-high heat for 2-3 minutes on each side.
Assemble the Burgers
- Top each patty with caramelized onions and shredded Gruyère.
- Cover the skillet for 1 minute to melt the cheese.
- Serve on brioche buns with mayonnaise, lettuce, and fresh thyme.
