Chocolate Chip Skillet Cookie
This giant chocolate chip cookie is baked to golden perfection in a 12-inch cast iron skillet—crispy on the edges, soft and gooey in the center. Perfect for sharing and even better with a scoop of ice cream on top!

Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) -
Prepare the Wet Ingredients:
In a large bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Mix until smooth and well combined.
Add the eggs and vanilla extract, and mix until fully incorporated. -
Mix the Dry Ingredients:
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Be careful not to overmix. -
Fold in the Chocolate Chips:
Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough. -
Prepare the Skillet:
Grease the 12 -inch cast iron skillet with a little bit of butter or non – stick cooking spray. -
Press the Dough:
Press the cookie dough evenly into the prepared skillet, spreading it to the edges. -
Bake:
Bake in the preheated oven for 20 – 25 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set but still slightly soft. The cookie will continue to cook a bit in the hot skillet once removed from the oven. -
Cool and Serve:
Let the skillet cookie cool for about 10 minutes before slicing and serving. This allows the cookie to set and makes it easier to cut.
