Beef Stroganoff

Beef Stroganoff

Ingredients
1 1/2-2 lbs flank steak, thinly sliced
Salt and black pepper
4 tbsp butter
1 large yellow onion, diced
16 oz mushrooms, thinly sliced
5 cloves garlic, minced
2 cups beef stock
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp cornstarch
1 tbsp tomato paste
3/4 cup sour cream
1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped

You will also need a SIGNATUREseries Cast Iron Skillet.
Instructions
Prepare Beef Stock Mixture
  1. Combine beef stock, Worcestershire sauce, cornstarch, and tomato paste in a bowl. Set aside.
Cook Beef
  1. Melt 2 tbsp butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Sear thinly sliced beef seasoned with salt and pepper. Transfer to a plate.
Cook Vegetables
  1. Add remaining butter to skillet.
  2. Cook onions, mushrooms, and garlic until softened.
Simmer
  1. Pour in beef broth mixture and bring to a simmer.
  2. Stir in sour cream and add seared beef.
  3. Simmer for 5 minutes to meld flavors.
Garnish and Serve
  1. Garnish with parsley.
  2. Adjust seasoning if needed.
  3. Serve hot over egg noodles or mashed potatoes.
