Honey Hoisin Chicken

Ingredients
2 lbs chicken
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 cup hoisin sauce
1/3 cup honey or agave
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp chicken stock
Pinch of red pepper flakes

You will also need a SIGNATUREseries Cast Iron Skillet.
Instructions
  1. Prepare Sauce: In a small dish, combine hoisin sauce, honey, minced garlic, chicken stock, and red pepper flakes. Set aside.
  2. Season Chicken: Pat chicken dry with paper towels. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, cumin, and salt.
  3. Cook Chicken: Heat a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat with neutral cooking oil. Cook chicken skin side down for 5 minutes until golden brown and crisp. Flip chicken, cover skillet, and reduce heat to medium. Cook for about 15 minutes.
  4. Add Sauce: Pour honey hoisin sauce over chicken. Bring to a simmer and cook until sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Serve: Once chicken is cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F), transfer to a platter. Spoon additional sauce over each piece.
